Brilliant neo-scifi novelist, Brayden Dodge, approached me to create the covers of his book series Astra Epsilon. With glee, I accepted, and I’m thrilled to announce that there are currently three published novels in the series, with a fourth novel in the works.
These stories take place in a virtual outerspace world full of various mythical creatures, allowing for a delicate balance of design elements within space and fantasy.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with the author personally to draft up ideas that both nodded to the storyline as well as other cultural references that he wanted to incorporate.
This series even received its own segment on Portland’s KOIN6 News!
Friend and Hollywood television writer and media partnership specialist, Sophia Luz Bonzi reached out to me once she was near completion of her debut novel, this tragic love story. The classic “right person, wrong time” dilemma keeps two lovers reaching for each other, living an a world where the sun is always setting on their budding romance.
The cover was designed to illustrate that sunset vibe, the idea of ‘doors closing where a windows opens,’ and two hands reaching for one another to convey deep yearning through distance.
All these design choices keep potential readers guessing: will they, or won’t they? And what are the reasons behind their hesitation and their passion?
